Sara has a wide range of experience treating surgical patients both inpatient and outpatient. She received her undergraduate degree at Colby College where she studied biology and environmental science. Building on this foundation, she furthered her studies at Duke University where she successfully completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has extensive wound care experience after working in burn intensive care for several years (UNC Chapel Hill and St. Francis Hospital). In addition to her ICU experience, her nursing expertise encompasses diverse roles including positions in case management and ambulatory surgery.
She subsequently completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and training at University of California, San Francisco where she graduated with honors. Prior to starting in our clinic, she worked in a fast-paced clinical setting as a general practitioner in Petaluma, CA. Sara is deeply passionate about understanding and addressing the unique concerns of her patients and guiding them on a personalized journey towards achieving their goals. She is a bilingual Spanish speaker and enjoys taking care of complex and diverse populations.
