The Many Facial Rejuvenation Procedures Available Today

Aging is a process that nobody can stop. However, there are many surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures which may modulate the aging process. Each of them is designed to make you look healthier and younger and stave off some of the effects of the appearance of aging.

Surgical Facial Rejuvenation

Facelift Procedure

Facelifts are common surgeries that may be used for those with sagging skin, excess fat, deep skin folds near the nose or mouth, or distinguished jowls. In most cases, the recovery from this surgery is about two weeks.

Facelifts can improve your facial contours, reposition facial skin and fat back to their youthful positions, and restore lost volume. The effects can literally set the clock back a decade or more and may last a long time but aftercare is needed for the procedure.

Eyelid Surgery

Upper and lower eyelift surgeries are two separate procedures. Upper removes excess skin to create a more refreshed look. Lower is used for dealing with bags and eyelid hollowing.

Eyelid surgery can remove fat that blocks vision, create a healthier-looking face, and make your eyes seem younger. It can get rid of hooded skin over the eyes, remove bags underneath the eyes, and remove fine lines near the edge of the eyes. In addition, it helps with eye puffiness.

Brow Lift

Brow lifts are available in traditional and endoscopic versions. The second is less invasive and uses small incisions and a tiny camera to permit minimally invasive approaches to eliminate frown lines and forehead creases.

A brow lift is an excellent way to make you look younger than your years. It can make you look more pleasant, alert, and friendlier. It helps with sagging eyelid skin which may give an impression of being grumpy or tired. It also helps with drooping eyebrows that may block eyesight.

Facial Implants

Facial implants are another surgical facial rejuvenation option. These are used to rejuvenate, augment, or reconstruct the contours of the face. Implants are available in many sizes and styles to ensure they provide the aesthetic you hope for.

Having facial implants can make the jaw, chin, or cheek more symmetrical and correct any deficiencies. The process is quite quick and the results are permanent so there’s no need to have it done again in the future.

Non-Surgical Options

There are also many non-surgical methods of facial rejuvenation. Some of the most common include dermal fillers, Botox, intense pulsed light (IPL), laser resurfacing, microneedling, platelet rich plasma injections, and fat transfer. These tend to be less expensive with little aftercare but may need to be repeated in the future to continue seeing the effects you desire.
