The Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF OHNS) is excited to congratulate Megan Durr, MD, on her induction as a Fellow of the Triological Society. The honor was bestowed on Dr. Durr at the 2023 Triological Society Meeting in Coronado, California.

"Membership in the Triological Society brings the distinction of being elected to the most prestigious society in otolaryngology," reads the Society website. "Active Fellowship is achieved by presenting a thesis in the field of otolaryngology considered acceptable to a panel of peers."

At the annual meeting, Dr. Durr presented "Clinical and Demographic Characteristics of Adults Undergoing Surgery for Obstructive Sleep Apnea: Identification of Trends and Potential Barriers in Access to Care."

"I am very honored to be inducted as a fellow in the Triological Society," says Dr. Durr. "It has been a goal of mine since graduating from residency, and I am so thankful to my thesis sponsors Drs. Andrew Murr and Andrew Goldberg for their invaluable support and encouragement."

Dr. Durr is an Associate Professor of OHNS and Interim Chief of Otolaryngology at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She joined our faculty in November 2022 from a faculty appointment as a senior physician at Kaiser Permanente.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery (AAOHNS), the International Surgical Sleep Society and the Society of University Otolaryngologists, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Join us in congratulating Dr. Durr on this honor!
