What an amazing day! The UCSF Voice and Swallowing Center hosted its inaugural UCSF Professional Voice Symposium on 6/1/2019. In addition to sharing the podium with very knowledgeable faculty including our own Clark Rosen, Sarah Schneider, VyVy Young, local singing teachers Whitney Cytryn and Ruth Rainero joined us to share their Top 5 tips for singers. Other UCSF faculty Paul Axelrod, Priya Kathpalia, and Patricia Loftus also spoke about mindfulness, reflux, and allergies! The highlight of the day was the opportunity to spend time with Joan Baez, singer and activist, and hear her experiences with managing her voice over her long and impactful career! Her willingness to share was so impactful for the special group of diverse attendees including singers, singing teachers, SLPs and physicians!
