The University of California, San Francisco Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (UCSF OHNS) joined for an in-person multidisciplinary outing.
Nicole Jiam, MD, was awarded one of the 2025 Getting Together Doctor's days, sponsored by the UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Health. She turned this funding opportunity into a chance for members of the multidisciplinary teams involved in the care of patients with skull base and neuro-oncologic disease to meet in-person for a non-clinic, informal gathering.
The UCSF Hearing & Skull Base Summer Picnic welcomed 31 attendees from UCSF OHNS, Audiology, Neurosurgery, Radiology, Radiation & Medical Oncology and community advocates gathered at Golden Gate Park for the first in-person multidisciplinary tumor board, bridging clinical and research teams.
These department attendees got the opportunity to get to know each other, strengthening team and interdisciplinary rapport that is essential for deepening trust, building lasting collaborations and enhancing multidisciplinary care.
Congratulations, Dr. Jiam, for earing this funding and bringing together our teams!
