Steven Cheung, MD was recently featured in an article by Medscape, which noted recent research suggest that Bilateral Deep Brain Stimulation of the caudate nucleas appear to be safe and effective for patients with severe refractory tinnitus. The results of the study shows a 60% to 80% response rate for efficacy outcomes. Findings from the study were published in the Journal of Neurosurgery.
