Dr. Michael S. Chow is a surgeon specializing in head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery, transoral robotic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed his residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at New York University. He then pursued fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at UCSF.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Chow is deeply committed to surgical education, with a focus on mentoring residents and medical students. His academic interests include surgical outcomes, equity in surgical care, and global health initiatives aimed at improving access to high-quality surgical treatment worldwide.
