We are thrilled to announce that Camille Gagan has been promoted from Practice Supervisor to Practice Manager! This well-deserved promotion reflects her exceptional leadership, dedication, and countless contributions to our department and beyond.
Camille’s journey with UCSF began in January 2015, when she joined our department as a Practice Coordinator, splitting her time between scheduling for our Pediatric team and the adult population at Faculty Practice. Prior to UCSF, she gained valuable experience working at Kaiser and Palo Alto Medical Foundation in various administrative roles, including front desk and health education. Camille earned her Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco State University, majoring in Health Education with an emphasis in Public Health.
Throughout her career with us, Camille has shown remarkable growth and progression. She has advanced from Practice Coordinator to Patient Navigator, and most recently, to Practice Supervisor for OHNS. In her current role, she leads the Faculty Practice back-office Practice Coordinator team, oversees the training and onboarding of our satellite clinic teams, and develops standardized workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency. Additionally, Camille has played a pivotal role in implementing and supporting various pilot projects that have driven positive change within the department.
One of Camille’s standout accomplishments has been her leadership in implementing the Active Daily Engagement for Surgery Scheduling initiative. This program has significantly enhanced surgical volume and utilization by identifying and resolving barriers through daily and weekly huddles. Its success has led to its adoption across other surgical departments, benefiting both Adult and Pediatric teams in the East Bay and West Bay. Camille played a key role in this expansion by training department champions in other surgical specialties to carry out this impactful work.
Camille’s unwavering commitment to our team, providers, and patients, combined with her outstanding leadership skills, have made a lasting impact.
Please join us in congratulating Camille on her well-earned promotion to Practice Manager! We look forward to seeing her continue to excel in this new role.
