Yue Ma, MD joins UCSF Voice and Swallowing Center

Dear Team,

It gives us great satisfaction to report that Yue Ma, MD has joined the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the Division of Laryngology starting this Monday January 6, 2020.

Yue is joining us from UCLA where she completed her Laryngology fellowship in June, 2019.

Yue attended the University of Arizona where she graduated with a B.S. in Physiology and a Minor in Economics and achieved Summa Cum Laude honors. She stayed at U of A for medical school and was elected to AOA in her Junior year and received a Gold Humanism Society Award. Her Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery residency training was at Mt. Sinai in New York where she was an Epic System Quality Improvement Team Member and also assisted as an editor for the Otolaryngology Case Reports journal. Yue was able to publish 11 papers as a resident and fellow and has more projects either submitted or accepted for future publication. Yue was recently awarded the ALA Young Practitioner award for her scientific submission to the American Laryngological Association annual meeting.

Yue will be part of the phenomenal team at the UCSF Voice and Swallowing Center and will specifically bring a research focus on swallowing disorders to the department. She will also be working on outcomes and assessment research as part of her academic interest.
