Isabel Castañeda has joined the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF OHNS) team as an education specialist.
Isabel Castañeda is a Health Education Specialist 2 with experience designing, conducting and supporting health education programs in alignment with organizational goals and accreditation standards. She will oversee event management, learner support and program administration for faculty, residents and students while organizing departmental lectureships and dissection courses. Her expertise includes event planning, coordinating logistics, marketing and post-event evaluations, ensuring seamless and high-quality educational experiences. Isabel is a dedicated and results-driven professional with a strong foundation in public health and criminal justice. She brings valuable experience in marketing, communications and administrative support, particularly in the healthcare sector.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a Minor in Women's Health Issues from San Francisco State University, graduating Cum Laude. Isabel has previous experience in both administrative and communications roles, including positions at Canopy Health, BayHealth LLC and the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium. She is passionate about health education and dedicated to fostering a healthier, more inclusive society.
