The 2017 Robert A. Schindler, MD Lectureship took place on December 7 at Byers Auditorium in Genentech Hall.
Nancy Young, MD from Northwestern University's Lurie Children's Hospital was our guest speaker. Her talk on the impact of cochlear implantation on children highlighted the implications of neural plasticity which were pioneered by Michael Merzenich, PhD during his long career at UCSF. Professor Emeritus Robert A. Schindler, MD was in attendance.
