Dr. David Conrad's Invention Awarded Prize at Stanford

David Conrad, MD represented UCSF in the UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium Competition on March 29, 2019 and was awarded $50,000.

Dr. Conrad has developed a wireless tracheostomy alarm and respiratory monitoring system (Beacon) that has impressive potential.

In this design competition, there were 75 applications from across the country, 13 finalists, and 5 top prize winners. The judges were venture capitalists, representatives from the Stanford Biodesign Program, and Tejal Desai from UCSF.
