We are pleased to announce that Dr. David Conrad was one of three recipients to receive the Accelerator Award at the Shark Tank Pitch Night recently held at Mission Hall. His winning project was entitled “Tracheostomy Alarm and Monitoring System”. The device is designed to reduce complications surrounding tracheostomies. The $25,000 award provides seed funding, engineering talent, and support. UCSF has a long tradition of innovation and technology in healthcare, and we would like to congratulate Dr. Conrad on this achievement and wish him success in developing this project.
