The 2019 Francis Sooy, MD Lecture occurred on June 8th at Mission Bay's Rock Hall.
Thank you to our 2019 Francis A. Sooy, MD Endowed Speaker, Professor Neal D. Futran, MD, DMD. Dr. Futran, Professor and Chair from the University of Washington, spent several days at UCSF OHNS meeting residents and faculty, judging our 17th Annual Resident Research Symposium, and giving two engaging lectures to our group. His lectures were titled "Advances in Midface Reconstruction" and "Patients are First: One Surgeon’s Journey into the New World of Health Care Measures and Service". Dr. Futran’s visit also included our Annual Year End Dinner, an event where our department honors our resident and fellow graduates.
