In honor of Dr. Michael M. Merzenich’s passionate efforts in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Merzenich was awarded the Fritz A. and Doris H. Russ Prize by the National Academy of Engineering for his pioneering work in cochlear implants and has also been awarded the honor of the Kavli Prize in Neuroscience for 2016.
