The Schindler Lectureship is an endowed program in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco that was established in 2004 by Dr. Robert A. Schindler and Janet Feinberg Schindler. Dr. Schindler was Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of California, San Francisco from 1989 to 1999.

1) Participants will understand how the NIDCD can facilitate research training in otolaryngology;
2) Participants will understand the importance of a diverse workforce and how NIDCD facilitates;
3) Participants will be aware of the new NIDCD strategic plan, and associated opportunities for research funded by the institute.
