Join us in San Francisco for Updates in the Management of Head and Neck Disease, a conference on the advanced management of head and neck disease. Faculty at UCSF OHNS and colleagues have curated a multi-faceted program so that each learner can choose the training that suits their needs. All sessions will take place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

The event will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, and Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Hilton Financial District in San Francisco, CA. This program is intended as a course for practicing audiologists; however, professionals engaged in hearing aid dispensing, audiology graduate students, physicians, and others involved in the management of adults and children with hearing disorders will also benefit.

Neil Patel, MD, Awarded ARS Resident Research Grant to Study Tuft Cells in CRSwNP

UCSF OHNS is pleased to announce that Neil Patel, MD, MSc, was recently awarded an American Rhinologic Society Resident Research Grant! Dr. Patel received this grant on behalf of the ARS, the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Foundation and the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Effort (CORE) Study Section for his proposal titled "Role of Chemosensory Tuft Cells in the Pathogenesis of Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps."

Jacqueline Harris, MD, Awarded ASPO CORE Grant to Study Hearing Loss in Minority Children

UCSF OHNS is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Harris, MD, has been awarded a Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts Grant from the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. As outlined in the grant proposal, the study "aims to address disparities in hearing loss (HL) genetics by re-classifying variants that have been identified in under-represented minority (URM) children with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) to help with better interpretation and utilization of their HL gene-panel testing results."
