Learning objectives:

  1. Quantify the impact of bilateral vestibular hypofunction (BVH) on individuals and society
  2. Review the current standard of care for management of BVH and the potential role of vestibular implantation for treatment of this disorder
  3. Understand the translational research and development path for medical devices from basic science to first-in-human clinical trial, using vestibular implantation as a case study
