The Lewis Francis Morrison, M.D.
Endowed Lectureship in Head and Neck Surgery

The Morrison Lectureship is an endowed program in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of California, San Francisco honoring the memory of Dr. Lewis F. Morrison. Dr. Morrison was Chairman of the Division of Otolaryngology, Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco from 1945 to 1956. The department gratefully acknowledges Helen M. and Richard J. Elkus, Jr. for their gift establishing this endowed lectureship.

Francis A. Sooy Lectureship
Endowed Lectureship in Head and Neck Surgery

The Sooy Lectureship is an endowed program in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of California, San Francisco that honors the memory of Dr. Francis A. Sooy. Dr. Sooy was Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery from 1958 to 1972. He served as UCSF’s fourth Chancellor from 1972 to 1982, following which he was professor of otolaryngology until his passing in 1986.

2006 Sooy Lecturer

Speaker:
Dean M. Toriumi, MD is a full time faculty member of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and Head of the Division of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University Illinois at Chicago - Medical School. He is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty (cosmetic surgery of the nose), blepharoplasty (cosmetic surgery to remove excess eyelid skin and fat), rhytidectomy (cosmetic surgery to remove wrinkles of the face, "facelift") as well as several other cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures of the head and neck.


Robert A. Schindler, M.D.
Endowed Lectureship in Head and Neck Surgery

The Schindler Lectureship is an endowed program in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of California, San Francisco that was established in 2004 by Dr. Robert A. Schindler and Janet Feinberg Schindler. Dr. Schindler was Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of California, San Francisco from 1989 to 1999.
