Andrew H. Murr, M.D. is a graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (now Drexel University School of Medicine) and the St. Louis University residency program in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and is board certified in that field. Dr. Murr is a general otolaryngologist with special interest in facial trauma, sinus surgery and rhinology, and general head and neck surgery. He has been at UCSF for nearly 20 years and is also the Vice Chairman for Clinical Affairs in the department. Because of his interest in teaching, Dr. Murr is a member of the Academy of Medical Educators and is the Roger Boles, M.D. Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology Education. He is also the Director of the residency program and an Advisory College mentor in the School of Medicine. Dr. Murr has an interest in research pertaining to trauma, clinical outcomes research, and several areas of investigation in rhinology.

Ben Bonham, PhD conducts research directed toward the amelioration of hearing deficits. Dr. Bonham's physiological studies are designed to compare the neural processing of information provided via cochlear implants with processing of information provided via normally functioning ears. These results of these studies will indicate specific changes in implants and processing strategies that are most likely to improve patient performance.
