Clerkship Application Procedures 

Clerkship Descriptions:


140.01A Advanced Inpatient - Parnassus
This clerkship is in general otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and includes the diagnosis and treatment of common head and neck disorders. Both inpatient and outpatient experiences will be offered. (Offered as a two-week, non-advanced elective.)

140.01B Advanced Inpatient - SFVAMC
This clerkship is in general otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and includes the diagnosis and treatment of common head and neck disorders. Both inpatient and outpatient experiences will be offered. (Offered as a two-week, non-advanced elective.)

140.01C Advanced Inpatient - SFGH
This clerkship is in general otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and includes the diagnosis and treatment of common head and neck disorders. Both inpatient and outpatient experiences will be offered. (Offered as a two-week, non-advanced elective.)

140.01F Advanced Head and Neck Surgery - Mt. Zion 
This clerkship is in head and neck surgery and includes the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck neoplasms. Both inpatient and outpatient experiences will be offered. (Offered as a two-week, advanced elective.)

140.02: Off - Campus Clinical Clerkship
This off-campus clinical clerkship in an approved hospital is scheduled by special arrangement and requires the approval of the dean and the department; obtain the necessary forms in the Office of Curricular Affairs.

150.01 Research
Students participate in a research project under the direction of a member of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. This course requires the consent of the dean and department; obtain the necessary forms in the Office of Curricular Affairs.
